Neurotype Workshops
In these workshops, you will find comprehensive, neuro-affirming education that help you understand the A to Zs of your child's diagnosis, from how autism and ADHD came to be, to how their brain is wired, to how this impacts the way they see the world, and importantly, their unique pathway of supports.

ADHD Workshop
The course will help you deepen your understanding of ADHD - well beyond "a little bit fidgety" or "daydreams often" - to what we really need to know. What drives my child? Why can't my child get started on tasks? How can I set up my ADHDer to succeed in life? Allow this course to answer some of the questions you needed answered.
Deep Dive Clinician Workshops
On the 7th of August 2024, AHPRA released new competencies for psychologists that mandated psychologists should understand neurodiversity, and should demonstrate the ability to adapt psychological practice and make reasonable adjustments for people with disability, including understanding of alternative and augmentative communication.
If the idea of neurodiversity-affirming practice all feels a little bit like gobbledy-gook, is challenging in terms of the new ideas, and you're left feeling confused about how to go forward, or what kind of adjustments people may need or benefit from,
or honestly, even if you just want to make sure you're covering all your bases in terms of fully immersing in, you've come to the right place.

We'll be covering the shifting evidence base for our work with autistic clients, offer you a social skills and emotional regulation framework designed by yours truly, report writing ideas and language updates as well as reflective therapy questions to help tailor the principles of affirming practice to creating individualized client care.

Short Workshops
Don't have the time for the deep dives? We so get it. Here are workshops that can all be completed in under 90 minutes as a quick way of keeping those skills sharp.
Supporting Autistic/ADHDer Students
A common story I get told is that even though we're seeing more and more autistic and ADHDer children in the classroom, these concepts weren't covered in your degree. You do a lot of research in your own time and respond well to what parents tell you about their child, but you always feel like it's not enough.

We'll be covering:
-
What is autism and ADHD? including covering neuroscience and the different presentations
-
How these neurotypes think and process the world
-
Accommodations you can put into place to be an inclusive teacher

To quote Captain Planet, the power is yours.
Are you ready?

Sandhya has created a range of resources for easy, accessible information for you. Sometimes, the less time you spend engaging with an item, the less we take the information on and have it truly inform practice, but if you benefit from an easy visual and want the information to marinate away, then this section is for you.
